Specifically, Lake Yankton just outside of town, at the base of the cliffs on the south side of the lake fairly close to the dam. I think that's only reachable by water (I was on a jet ski with a friend), and there's a whole beach covered with shellfish fossils there.

man, every time I scroll past this I think "that's a lovely picture, but why is there peanut butter toast on his windowsill?"

I suspect this says more about my brain than it does about the photography....
