Oh no. While I'm glad to hear they've been excised, I'm sorry they were there at all. Serenity, courage, and wisdom to you all. (Actually, perhaps "not-going-gentle" would be more useful therapeutically than serenity; and might be more natural to Jay as well... . But at any rate, courage and wisdom!)

'Diaphragm' would be the thoracic diaphragm, the muscular sheet whose motion draws air into the lungs. 'Omentum' would be one of two membranes inside the abdominal cavity.

Late morning, several more tweets: Tissue samples were sent off for gene sequencing, and he was moved out of the ICU to surgical oncology ward, and had walked a bit before going there.
