Regarding the gender gap in pain, I know that since I began bringing a man with me to all my pain appointments I have been dismissed much less frequently and have finally been able to get pain killers that manage my pain when previously I could only get strengths that didn't touch it.

Ironically, doctors who are female seem to be the worst offenders.

Thank you, the article on pain led me to another article about how women should take lower doses of sleeping pills. Specifically Zolipdem (Ambien), which is the one I take.
This may explain the nap attacks I've been experiencing at work the last few months. (So far I've managed to confine them to scheduled break times. But then I sit without moving *all* day. Which is not good for any part of my health!)
