[cancer] The cost of not dying

Here are the pills I take every day, 21 days in row. I then take 7 days off before I start again. Each pill costs about $120, each day's dose costs about $480.

So as a society, we're spending almost $500 per day, almost $10,000 per month keeping me alive. Without this medicine, I'd be on my deathbed right now.

In case you're wondering how much it costs on a daily basis for me not to die.

(Thankfully, my health insurance covers all of this but a small co-pay.)
