Until I sort out how to manage this LiveJournal without directly engaging with the site, I'll continue to make brief daily announcements. Due to LiveJournal's Byzantine spam suppression policies, I am no longer posting primary content here. There is an existing LiveJournal RSS feed of my WordPress blog under another handle, [info]feedjaylake.

For today's blogging, including Link Salad, Moment of Zen, a discussion of my open source genome, and comments on yesterday's visit to NIH, please see my WordPress blog at jlake.com/blog.

I also made a Deamwidth feed for anyone who prefers that platform. It is jlake_feed, and you can find it easily from the feeds list on my profile. I am wild_irises over there too.

Setting up your own Dreamwidth account, set to auto-crosspost back to LJ, strikes me as probably the most viable option; the mechanics are similar enough that it wouldn't require spending your already-limited bandwidth trying to learn a new blogging platform. (In the interest of not splitting the conversation further, you could disable comments on the LJ side; anyone with an LJ account already has an OpenID handle that they can use to comment on DW.)
