About 28 years ago, I took one semester of freshman Anthropology. I took the companion Archeology course the following semester. There was a small section on linguistics in the Anth class and a small section on ancient writing systems in the Archeo class. Even *I* could spot some of the errors in that silly article. I couldn't have said *what* was wrong with them (with the exception of Ancient Egyptian being a dead language - sheesh, haven't they ever seen Stargate? :-), but geez, if *I* could see it, where in the *world* did they *get* that crap?

Actually, I was really disappointed when I saw the first Stargate movie by the fact that they used so little Egyptian. And then Troy didn't use Mycenean Greek and Luwian! You just can't win....
